Hydro Dipping (water transfer printing) originated in Japan and is a process used to decorate any type of material in three dimensions uniformly.

This process is not just the simple application of a film on an object. Instead, it is a method through which the image printed on special water-soluble films is perfectly transferred onto the object to be decorated.

The special water-soluble film is laid on the surface of the water in a temperature-controlled processing tank. The object is then immersed, and thanks to the hydrostatic pressure of the water, the printed design is transferred onto the object. A special activator applied to the water surface dissolves and activates the film’s colors, ensuring that the image transfers onto the immersed object with extremely high resolution and color fidelity. The result is perfect adhesion, even for full 360-degree decorations.

Automatic Hydro Dipping Tank:
ANBOindustry has a fully automatic line, one of the most advanced in Europe, as well as a semi-automatic line.
In the automatic system, over 90% of the production process is performed automatically, from loading the frames containing the products, applying the water-soluble film with the activator, immersing the object, to unloading the frames with the decorated products.

Semi-Automatic Hydro Dipping Tank:
In the semi-automatic line, human intervention is required for laying and activating the film, as well as loading and unloading frames, while the immersion phase is fully automated. This line is more suitable for small to medium production runs.

After the decoration phase, both the automatic and semi-automatic lines proceed with automated washing or rinsing, drying, and finally, the application of a protective clear coating to give the chosen design the right shine and protect the objects for long-lasting durability.
